Casa Grande Century

The first century of the year was a success.  We had 11 riders and we all finished - congratulations!  The day was close to perfect.  Low wind, great weather, no hills and only one flat.  Most of the excitement occurred around mile 54 when a vulcan's legs started to cramp, he then flatted, and we heard the story of Penelope!  A BBQ lunch at mile 70 sounded great, but our stomachs and legs had other opinions.  After 5 miles of burping and lead-leg, we started to feel human again and finished strong.

I hope everyone  is ready for February's self-supported century out to Saguaro Lake.  It is a gorgeous ride!

See ya!

-John

Congratulations guys! Way to kick the year off.

Most of you probably did not see Antonio's comment on FaceBook to Rich's photo of the group - I thought it should be reposted here - "Is that Gerald?"

I will be on other centuries this year!!

Almsot forgot, Rainman locked his keys in his truck at the start. Cat broke into his house, found his spare set and brought them to us - awesome!
